My aim is to build up the definitive selection of what I love and respect, and I hope you'll also like it.
Especially till 10years ago, some people said that Queen is a mere cheap rock band. I cannot agree with that opinion. Being favored by gifted musicians Freddie Mercury and Brian May, the band has created unique masterpieces during their long-term career.
Although some people might think that the poster of an old-fashioned design is boring, when I see so-called "traditional" art work, I feel relaxed very much. This Starsky & Hutch poster must be one of such items.
I never knew Bono's birth name; Paul David Hewson. @U2.com explains the origin of the name as following.
As well as other black & white portraits of great jazz musicians, those are featured on this website, I proudly introduce this beautiful poster of Charles Mingus playing double-bass.
This poster is for the promotion of The Police Concert, held in a period when they had released their final recording Synchronicity. The artwork reminds me the album cover, painted with blue, red and blue colors.
Especially among young R&B funs, Marvin Gaye seems only to be mentioned along with his later album " What's Going On". However, as Motown's best-selling performer, he had left a lot of creative and challenging recordings such as "'How Sweet It Is", even before he released this inspirational album in 1971.
A new poster has been added on the category of Led Zeppelin. The poster named Victoria Concert is the recent portrait of Robert Plant, singing on the stage. Since 1990s, Robert Plant has continued his challenging musical career, which include not only the memorable album No Quarter produced with Jimmy Page, but also collaborations with outstanding artists such as Pearl Jam. He seems not to retire from busy days.
If you're a fan of exclusive film memorabilia, also visit movie category which contains a lot of memorable poster images..
